In this very first episode of Micro Entrepreneur: the magic of thinking small I have a great chat with Judy Heminsley, the author of Work From Home and website www.workfromhomewisdom.com and Karen Haller from www.KarenHaller.com who shared their tips and advice on how to make the most of it.
In the intro
The Micro Entrepreneur Podcast is your place to come and hear me talk about all things business for the micro business owner. I speak with experts, authors and other micro business owners and what they are doing to build and grow a successful micro business. The podcasts are converted from our Micro Entrepreneur Google Hangouts which are held every week.
About this week’s guests
Judy Heminsley has worked from home for more than 20 years – longer than she cares to add up, in fact! – both running her own businesses and as an employee. She is the author of Work from Home, published by How To Books, a down-to-earth guide to getting the best from living and working in the same place, and works one-to-one with stuck home workers to help them regain perspective and move past obstacles.
Judy was a pioneer of Jelly coworking in the UK and her free guide to starting your own Jelly is available from her blog workfromhomewisdom.com . She is a passionate advocate of home working and believes it goes some way to address many of the problems we currently face – financial, environmental, community and personal. However, she is also a realist and knows it presents many challenges, having faced all of them – several times – over the last 20 years!
Karen Haller is an internationally renowned business colour and branding expert, and has helped clients from across the globe transform the branding image of their business. She has worked with a number of prestigious brands including Dulux, Orange Mobile, Logitech and The Peggy Porschen Cake Academy.
